Homemade Beauty Acia Berry Sugar Scrub
Time for another wonderful homemade scrub for you! One of my favorite scents is Acai Berry, I’m really into anything in the fruit family with smells.
It’s hard for me to discuss scent recommendations with people because I’ve learned that we all really do smell things differently. While I may love the scent, my boyfriend prefers a more wooded scent which I don’t like. Thankfully we don’t share bath products.
This scrub is super easy to make and requires little money put into it and something that you might even have lying around.
1 cup Acia Berry body wash
2 cups granulated sugar
food coloring – optional
bowl, whisk, spatula, wide mouth funnel
jars with lids
Avery 5294 labels or similar
How to Make Acia Berry Sugar Scrub:
In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar and body wash until well combined. Add in the food coloring if desired – this will give it a more vibrant color. I prefer to use gel based food colorings for this.
Place the funnel inside the first jar. Portion out some of the sugar scrub. Repeat with remaining jar(s).
I chose to use two 8 ounce jars. I love the plastic because they won’t break in the shower.
Download the labels. Load Avery 5294 round labels (or similar) into your printer. Print, peel and stick.
These make great teacher gifts, stocking stuffers, and even party favors! I live in western new york and we can experience 3 different seasons in one day. My sensitive skin doesn’t like the constant change and I need a way to keep it smooth before applying my moisturizer.
Are you into the homemade beauty trend? There will be more scrubs coming up! What is a scent that you would like to make?
